Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (500g) All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) Instant Yeast
  • 1 cup (240ml) Warm Milk (110°F/43°C)
  • ½ cup (113g) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2 large Eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup (250g) Cookie Butter Spread (for dough)
  • ½ cup (115g) Cookie Butter Spread (for swirl)
  • ½ cup (100g) Brown Sugar (for swirl)
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon (for swirl)
  • 1 cup (120g) Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
  • 2–3 tablespoons Warm Milk (for glaze)
  • ¼ cup (60g) Cookie Butter Spread (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add softened butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour to the yeast mixture. Beat on low speed until combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. While dough rises, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and ½ cup cookie butter to form a thick paste.
  6. Punch down risen dough and roll out on a floured surface into a 12×18 inch rectangle.
  7. Spread remaining cookie butter over the dough, leaving a border. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Roll dough tightly into a log from the long edge. Cut into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  9. Place rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. While baking, mix powdered sugar, warm milk, and ¼ cup cookie butter for the glaze.
  12. Drizzle warm glaze over hot rolls immediately after removing from oven. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure milk is warm but not hot to avoid killing yeast. Use a kitchen scale for accurate flour measurement. Rolls can be made ahead by refrigerating shaped rolls overnight. For gluten-free, substitute almond flour (note: texture will be denser). For dairy-free, use coconut milk and butter alternatives.
