Description
A quick and easy homemade version of Raising Cane’s famous garlic bread. This crispy toast features a soft interior and a buttery, garlicky crust, ready in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- White bread (thick-cut slices)
- Unsalted butter (softened)
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley
- Salt
- Optional: Parmesan cheese or shredded mozzarella/cheddar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small mixing bowl, mash softened butter with garlic powder, dried parsley, and a pinch of salt until it forms a smooth paste.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture generously onto one side of each bread slice, ensuring coverage reaches the edges.
- Arrange the buttered slices on a baking sheet without overlapping to allow for even air circulation.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy at the edges. Check frequently to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and let cool for one minute before serving immediately.
Notes
Use softened butter for easier spreading. Do not overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure crispiness. Garlic burns quickly, so keep a close eye on the toast while baking. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 30 seconds. Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to restore crunch.
