Description
A creamy, tangy, and naturally sweetened frozen yogurt made with just a few simple ingredients. This no-churn dessert combines Greek yogurt and frozen mango for a healthy, tropical treat ready in under 20 minutes of prep.
Ingredients
- 2 cups full-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1.5 cups frozen unsweetened mango chunks
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons full-fat coconut milk (optional)
Instructions
- If using fresh mango, peel, dice, and freeze chunks until solid (at least 4 hours). If using frozen mango, ensure chunks are separated.
- Add frozen mango chunks, Greek yogurt, honey, lime juice, vanilla extract, and coconut milk (if using) to a high-speed blender.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 2-3 minutes, stopping to scrape down sides, until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Check consistency; it should resemble soft-serve ice cream. If too thick, add a splash of water or milk one tablespoon at a time.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container, smooth the top, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
- Before serving, let the frozen yogurt sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping.
Notes
Use full-fat Greek yogurt for the creamiest texture. The lime juice is essential for balancing sweetness. For a dairy-free version, swap Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving to soften.
