Ultimate Cheeseburger Bacon Bombs

  • Author: angela_woods

  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

Golden, cheesy, and crispy on the outside with a gooey beef and bacon filling, these easy appetizers are perfect for game days and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury or Grands!)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp relish, diced (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 egg, beaten with a splash of milk (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. In the same pan, cook ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, mustard, ketchup, relish, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently and season with salt and pepper if needed.
  4. Open biscuit dough and separate biscuits. Roll each piece into a flat circle about 3-4 inches wide.
  5. Place 1-2 tablespoons of beef mixture in the center of each dough circle. Bring edges up and pinch tightly to seal, rolling into a ball. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Brush bombs with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Ensure the beef is fully drained and cooled to prevent soggy dough. Do not overcrowd the baking sheet. For a spicy version, add jalapenos and use pepper jack cheese. Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
